Proverbs
Was just doing my quiet time when i decided to just flip over to Proverbs for a while... since it's my favourite book. Was looking through some of the verses which i find meaningful. Well of course all the verses in proverbs are meaningful... but I'm just gonna highlight some of the verses which seems more significant to me, which grabs my mind... ::Words of Wisdom:: Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs. (10:12) Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (12:18) A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. (15:13) A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (18:24) Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (31:30) The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (1:7) A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother. (10:1) Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (12:1) Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free.
