Today, I feel unusually emotional.

Must be because I had a bad dream. Thank goodness I do not remember it. It was vague, after i woke up.
But that's not all.
Suddenly had so many thoughts running through my mind. Which makes me wanna tear. Stupidsilly~ isn't it. But just can't help it. It's not about exam stress, but about things that happened last time, recently, now... that just abruptly came to me. Hence the abrupt unusual emotional state of mind i was in.
Kinda affected my studying for a while.
Shouldn't be thinking about so many things during exam period yah.

I miss jf again. Because of my unusually emotional state, so suddenly wished can see him for a while. But he went out. sighed. Nvm.

Microecons is a big headache. I think i may just end up writing rubbish on monday. Really don't know how to do. Was looking at past year exam questions. Sucks. Felt helpless. Wonder why they made us by textbooks when the textbook doesn't seem to relate to the lecture notes. And worse, they don't relate to the tutorial questions. Helpless isn't it?!
Now i think i may just scrape through it. How to reach my B+?
Bbbblllllaaaaaahhhhhhh.

A girl will put in a lot of effort to look good for a guy.
But the guy doesn't have to do anything.

Tell me about it.

It's a relief that lit exam is over. It was excruciating. Didn't do twenty marks for stats paper. Yikes.

3 papers down. 2 more to go.

Microecons will be my hardest... sucks don't understand the lect notes, and i will only understand when i refer to tutorial answers. Means I don't even know how to attempt the tutorial questions. This feeling sucks. Am hoping to finish revising the entire module by friday night, then I'll have a easier time on sunday. Sighs~ how to get B+ for this module...

Think my blog entries are very boring ones these days.... cos' i just study everyday. It's exam period!! nothing interesting to blog except my upheavals in revision, and if i suddenly have inspiring thoughts.

*Gasps*

Do my best and God will do the rest...

Plans after exams:

1. Go shopping. Eyeing on black heels from urs and nice girly black glossy shoes from c&k. Buy maksim the piano player album. Collect my gown.
2. Watch movies- the incredibles, shark's tale, bridget jones, alexander.
3. Clean my room and arrange stuff. Think the room should be given a new look for the holidays, at least no books and papers lying on my table.
4. Practise more piano.
5. Get some exercise.
6. More X'mas shopping.
7. Go home more often and help mum.
8. Meet up with Shihua.
9. Outline cmb workplan for jan-mar.
10. Think about comm work, esp cmb concert.
11. Practise piano for erhu performance.
12. Train the 2 geyao keyboardists.
13. Lots of X'mas caroling.
14. Download more movies on my lappie.
15. Slack at times.
16. Eat more.
17. Sleep more.

Ok only a rough plan. But it's defintely more than this. The things I need to do during holidays is A LOT.
I think it'll be hard to meet up with people... depends. Friends who want to go out should just arrange outings earlier. Of course with the exception of some people.

Stole this poem from Nor's blog....
(poem is from a book called "Youth.sg"

Success by Teo Yen Fen

I am 25
On my way to my first job
It's a high paying one you know
My mother's so proud of me
My father too
EVerybody in the family.

All my life
I've successfully overcome the hurdles of education
280 for PSLE
10 A1s for O Levels
8 distinction for A Levels
Scholarships
First class honours
Numerous awards for leadership
Isn't that success?

I don't like Science, never did.
But the subjects were easy to score
Didn't like Accountancy either
But mother said, '
Professional degree mah,
Sure get higher pay one.
Arts ah? No future one leh.
I don't think it's a good idea.
''But I like philosophy.'
'Like, like cannot eat one!
You better do Accountancy or Engineering.
You choose.'

'Wah, first class honours ah?'
'Your girl so clever!'
'Wah such high pay!'
'So successful!'
Yes, by many standards,

I am successful.
But
Nobody said anything about being happy.

Stress Freak.

Think I've been "killing", "stressing" myself but I'm just not aware of it... until now, now when I think about it.... yah I'm just harming my body.

Having only one proper meal everyday, which itself isn't so proper (even though it usually consists of rice, meat and vegetable), cos' I usually don't finish my food.
And the rest of the time just stuff myself with few pieces of bread.
Not being to sleep well most of the nights, as in, taking a long time to fall asleep. Feeling insomniac the night before exams is the worst. Not because I'm wide awake or that I'm used to having late nights. I was sure that I was feeling so mentally drained last night so went to sleep at 1am, but still so hard to sleep. Tired but can't sleep. Maybe it's a stress symptom. Sucks.
Then wake up in the middle of my sleep feeling hungry.
Sometimes feel hungry, but have no appetite to eat anything, so end up not eating anything. How to be hungry yet no appetite? beats me.
Haven't exercise for long. Exercising is good for the spirit and mind. But I just sit in my room and try to study all the time.
Gosh am i aging already?!

Time to change my lifestyle. Eat more, eat healthy, don't starve. If i take a long time to fall asleep, means have to lie down on my bed much earlier. Don't think too much about things yah.

sigh, WHAT WAS I THINKING LAST NIGHT? must be out of my mind.

Ok, hope i don't fall asleep later. Though i think its very hard... cos' tired now so may just doze off halfway thru' studying.

yawnz. I don't like exams at 9am.

Prayer of Every Student/Leader/Committee

Lord please help me stay on track.
Keep me from turning into a wreck
Godspeed what is soonest due,
With spirit and truth my work imbue.
In leading, serve and by serving, lead,
To bring to bloom my every seed.
Wisely, help me compromise,
So to ward off my demise.

Amen.

Love

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails.

Feeling a little upset now about some things. Don't know how to describe how i feel now.. I should have known earlier.. a kind of predictable sadness i guess. Sigh. But it's ok. More of a contemplative sadness rather than a teary sadness. Feels a little weird too. But i guess it's normal for me. Don't really know what to do too. Maybe should just take it easier first, don't think too much about it, cos' dwelling on it is bad for the mind and spirit. Things also not up to my control as well. Should just try my best and keep things in prayer yah..?!
Don't wish to elaborate too much, shan't publicise too personal matters down here. Hmmm.

I love the sound of the cello so much that I even dreamed of it. I dreamed of a cello.
I think the cello is romantic.

Had a nap just now... kinda regretted sleeping cos' before that was thinking about literature, so many ideas suddenly, but didn't bother to write them down. To my dismay, i forgot what i was thinking about after i woke up. Ok shouldn't have slept cos' since i was in the mood for lit, should have just continued pondering instead of taking a break... Now my mind is quite 'stuck', quite slow in thinking...

I hate exams.

Hall is so quiet now cos' everyone's mugging.

Exams are not over yet, and I'm already thinking of X'mas shopping... cannot make it! Aahh can't wait for retail therapy.

Oh well...

Unfortunately, I dont think that SIF will be able to bring the Victoria Chorale for Singapore Encore next year due to budget constraints. However we will continue to consider you for our local and regional events in the future.

K..no more NYC.

TGIF!

I woke up before my alarm clock rang this morning! Whoa... like way before... Guess the body just automatically wakes up at the right time during exam period... so weird...but thank god for it anyway... Usually i would be more stressed about being able to sleep the night before and about waking up in the morning, than the exam itself. Urgh... all my papers are 9am.

English paper was rather easy, manageable, hopefully not too much negative marking... if not.. I'll really lose a lot of marks... and there goes my hopes of getting at least a B plus. Hah, shall not think about it anymore.... 1 paper down! 4 more to go!!

Ok shall digress a bit here...

Was just thinking last night, of another theory of life by yours truly.
If you want something very very much, and you have a very strong drive to want to attain it, the ultimate result is that you'll finally get what you want. Because you'll be so so so motivated, that somehow, your efforts have to pay off, right. Of course, you have to work for it, suffer for it if you have to, and really not give up, and put in considerable amount of effort. Then you'll be rewarded with what you want.
Of course, one shouldn't be too idealistic.
So you have to have the right motivations, the correct purpose of wanting it so much.
Theory versus Practicality.
Wonder how true is the theory, was just thinking that in real situations, people often give up a lot... especially after putting in effort, and then faced with objections here and there, circumstances just not in favour of things. Seriously, why bother about the oppositions? Why do you have to allow yourself to be burdened by these oppositions? Why even care about what other people think? It's because you don't live alone in this world. No man is island. That's why you have to care, right. But why care? Other people may not be right at all.

There is a reason for everything, everything that has happened, and everything that is going to happen.

Guess i just like to think about some things... think about my life, other people's lives... think about wanting to achieve many things in life, simply because life is so short, so precious, so fragile, so gotta live life to the fullest yeah? Especially when i'm young, like now... Try to achieve as many things as i want, explore my interests and go all the way out to pursue my dreams. Even if my dreams fail in the future, at least i can say i've done all my best for it and i won't have any regrets of not even trying. But sometimes, i don't know whether i'll be daring enough for all these, for what awaits me, for what i want. I guess this is my weakness. How things that i really want to do never gets done because everything will be so affected by what other people think, that i just need to stand up strongly for i want, and not be destructively affected by other people. I sound selfish here isn't? But i think i always think too much about what others think and what others feel, that it becomes so unreasonable such that i'm almost giving in to them without thinking of how i'll feel at the end of the day. Which causes so much discomfort sometimes.

A friend of mine used to tell me that I should learn how to talk more especially when I'm young, make myself heard! Meaning share my ideas and thoughts with people... share my experiences (but it's not like i have a lot of experience to talk about)... and not keep everything to myself. Wonder why he thinks it's bad if one doesn't know how to talk and share his life with other people. Hmmm.....

Sometimes, I want to look for people who will support me, encourage me to achieve what i really want, but it seems like I only want to see people agreeing with me, and I'm choosing not to see and hear the other side - the people who will disagree with me, who will forbid me and restrict me.

I think it's really hard to find people, friends, or even someone who will really know how to appreciate you and treasure you, so much that his or her loving appreciation and admiration for you can cover all wrongs, can forgive all mistakes, can continually embrace you. It's way too idealistic here, cos' not a single human being have such a perfect character. Let's not talk about God here, because God is definitely perfect... thinking about the human side here. Think about it... who are the people you really treasure in life and to what extent do you treasure them...
I think generally, people are so superficial, and such people disgusts me. I do treasure closed ones around me, but just wondering how much i love them... I can say that there's no hatred in my heart because I'm not such a person who will contain hatred and remember hatred (or is it because i haven't seen the worst?), I just hope that as I walk through the journey of life with God, I'll learn how to embrace people and love people...

Proverbs

Was just doing my quiet time when i decided to just flip over to Proverbs for a while... since it's my favourite book. Was looking through some of the verses which i find meaningful. Well of course all the verses in proverbs are meaningful... but I'm just gonna highlight some of the verses which seems more significant to me, which grabs my mind...

::Words of Wisdom::

Hatred stirs up dissension, but love covers over all wrongs. (10:12)

Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (12:18)

A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. (15:13)

A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. (18:24)

Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. (31:30)

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline. (1:7)

A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother. (10:1)

Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. (12:1)

Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free. (11:21)

Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. (30:5)

Feeling RELAXED

Yeah, relaxed is the word....
Seems like I've reached the stage where I can't feel stressed anymore... or is it because my first exam tomorrow is the easiest... the easiest to prepare (almost effortless i have to say), and the easiest to do (don't need to write lengthy stuff and no math involved)
Easiest... which means it has to improve my caps score!! argh... the unpredictability of results.
Doing is one thing, and results is the another... Maybe i shouldn't think about results now that i haven't sat for the exam yet...

Last night had so many thoughts.... don't know what's wrong with me...
There's this particular longing every night... and i hope i won't have it every night from now on...

Seems like I'm blogging more than I think I should now...
It's a way to relieve stress anyway, and take my mind off my books for a while.

What was I doing anyway? Trying to read up on macroeconomics, but still unfortunately stuck at the same topic and for quite a long time already... boo.

Ok i was bored last night, so before i slept, i just had to entertain myself with quizilla.

Been thinking about holiday plans during the occasional distractions. One thing is... I'll get my virgin ears pierced! Yeah i will... hopefully. Then I'll try to adorn myself with pretty earrings, aaah, finally i'll be wearing jewellery... How often does faith nah wear jewellery... like hardly, barely, or she doesn't even bother... hmm....

Today, I'm gonna clean up my room. Realised that I'm becoming more picky about cleanliness, since jf always says my room is dirty... Actually I think jf has one of the neatest and cleanest rooms in block d. and I always find it rather amusing when he likes to tell me how clean his room is after he cleaned it... " Can u feel it... my room is so clean... the fan is white!..."

What season are you?

xcn

You're a Spring. You usually are very close-knit
with your friends and value everyone freidnship
you have. You're a real people person and
everyone loves how friendly you are. You're
good with encouraging people but usually don't
like to be the center of attention. You are a
social butterfly and probably are in several
circles of friends but it's just because you're
well liked and you make people comfortable.
You're both fun and wise but you are very
realistic about life.(If you can't see tje

PMS day

Can't wait for shihua to be back from penn state. In need of girl-bonding, and someone to bitch about life with me.

So slow in studying today. Ggaaahhh.... sighs.

Cramps has been killing my mood the whole day. Seems like panadol isn't serving its purpose.

Bought chocolates for josephine's birthday.

What's on my mind now?

I'm thinking that I've got to wait so long to see him tomorrow. Tomorrow night I mean. Even though he lives upstairs. Cos' he isn't in hall most of the time.

In DND- do not disturb me mood these days.

I dare you to disturb me! Apologies for hostility if you msn me, maybe i'm in no mood to chat too much.

Ok the handwriting analysis i did earlier today was rather new... and... interesting. Some of it are quite true...

If you're my friend and you have read my handwriting analysis and you're thinking how true the analysis fits me... hmm... don't bother please. Don't act like you think you know very well and try to figure out how true the analysis is.

Aahh.

Someting sad happened today. OMG. Shan't spell it out here. But I'm really quite upset about it. She's my very good friend, and I don't know how she'll be able to handle it. Knowing that she isn't a emotionally, menatally strong person, and knowing that she is a very dependable person, I wonder how much this will affect her. It's precisely because she's like that that's why I'm kinda worried about her. Oh well... but i guess she'll be fine. Just that I think she'll have greater doubts towards life's possibilities, life's uncertainties. Poor girl.

I slept at 8am today and woke up at 3pm. Stayed up throughout the night and studied. I think game theory is rather study-friendly afterall. So from 3 pm till now... been at monetary expansion and supply shocks, still at monetary expansion and supply shocks now... urgh what was i doing?!

Thinking whether I should give my bloggie a new look after exams... argh but the thought of sorting out all the html makes me lazy to do so. I'll try to do a nice picture blog for myself. Which I've always wanted, just a blog for pictures of me and whatever i wanna post. For the voyeur in me and you.... heh.

Maybe I should just stay up the whole waking night to revise whatever i want to revise. I don't mind sacrificing a night as long as i want to finish what i have to.

Feeling insomniac is the usual... just pray that i won't feel this way the night before exams..

Handwriting analysis

For a graphologist, the spacing on the page reflects the writer's attitude toward their own world and relationship to things in his or her own space. If the inputted data was correct Faith has no white space or margins on a typical sheet of paper. Faith fills up every last inch on the top, right, left, and bottom. Hmmm. If this is true, then Faith has a very aggressive personality toward others and quite frankly lacks a bit of respect for the space and property of other people. I would be surprised if Faith just comes into someone's home and helps herself to a drink in the refrigerator. This can be both an obnoxious personality trait and it can be assertive and effective in getting what you want. There isn't much fear of getting in trouble here, Faith finds plenty of reasons to break the rules and get in trouble. (Okay, perhaps when she was younger, not anymore?) Basically, people with no margins are a handful.

Faith has a healthy imagination and displays a fair amount of trust. She lets new people into her circle of friends. She uses her imagination to understand new ideas, things, and people.

Something is incomplete in Faith's life. She feels frustration relating to her physical needs and desires. Somewhere in her life there is some disappointment, non-fulfillment, and interruption. This is very likely to relate to Faith's sexual needs.

Faith is having some confusion in her physical life. She is examining the past to give her answers about some of her physical desires. She may be trying to find a balance between her philosophical beliefs and her natural physical desires.

Faith is sarcastic. This is a defense mechanism designed to protect her ego when she feels hurt. She pokes people harder than she gets poked. These sarcastic remarks can be very funny. They can also be harsh, bitter, and caustic at the same time.

Faith is a practical person whose goals are planned, practical, and down to earth. This is typical of people with normal healthy self-esteem. She needs to visualize the end of a project before she starts. she finds joy in anticipation and planning. Notice that I said she plans everything she is going to do, that doesn't necessarily mean things go as planned. Faith basically feels good about herself. She has a positive self-esteem which contributes to her success. She feels she has the ability to achieve anything she sets her mind to. However, she sets her goals using practicality-- not too "out of reach". She has enough self-confidence to leave a bad situation, yet, she will not take great risks, as they relate to her goals. A good esteem is one key to a happy life. Although there is room for improvement in the confidence catagery, her self-perception is better than average.

In reference to Faith's mental abilities, she has a very investigating and creating mind. She investigates projects rapidly because she is curious about many things. She gets involved in many projects that seem good at the beginning, but she soon must slow down and look at all the angles. She probably gets too many things going at once. When Faith slows down, then she becomes more creative than before. Since it takes time to be creative, she must slow down to do it. She then decides what projects she has time to finish. Thus she finishes at a slower pace than when she started the project. She has the best of two kinds of minds. One is the quick investigating mind. The other is the creative mind. Her mind thinks quick and rapidly in the investigative mode. She can learn quicker, investigate more, and think faster. Faith can then switch into her low gear. When she is in the slower mode, she can be creative, remember longer and stack facts in a logical manner. She is more logical this way and can climb mental mountains with a much better grip.

Faith will be candid and direct when expressing her opinion. She will tell them what she thinks if they ask for it, whether they like it or not. So, if they don't really want her opinion, don't ask for it!

Faith uses judgment to make decisions. She is ruled by her head, not her heart. She is a cool, collected person who is usually unexpressive emotionally. Some may see her as unemotional. She does have emotions but has no need to express them. She is withdrawn into herself and enjoys being alone. The circumstances when Faith does express emotions include: extreme anger, extreme passion, and tremendous stress. If someone gets her mad enough to tell her off, she will not be sorry about it later. She puts a mark in her mind when someone angers her. She keeps track of these marks and when she hits that last mark she will let them know they have gone too far. She is ruled somewhat by self-interest. All her conclusions are made without outside emotional influence. She is very level-headed and will remain calm in an emergency situation. In a situation where other people might get hysterical, she has poise. Faith will work more efficiently if given space and time to be alone. She would rather not be surrounded by people constantly. In a relationship, she will show her love by the things she does rather than by the things she says. Saying "I love you" is not a needed routine because she feels her mate should already know. The only exception to this is if she has logically concluded that it is best for her mate to hear her express her love verbally. Faith is not subject to emotional appeals. If someone is selling a product to her, they will need to present only the facts. They should present them from a standpoint of her sound judgment. She will not be taken in by an emotional story about someone else. She will meet emergencies without getting hysterical and she will always ask "Is this best for me?"

People that write their letters in an average height and average size are moderate in their ability to interact socially. According to the data input, Faith doesn't write too large or too small, indicating a balanced ability to be social and interact with others.

Reason I'm blogging now is cos' I'm so totally sick of studying. yuck.
Feeling bored... not that i was very productive but just tired from looking at my stats notes.

In a X'mas mood already... which is bad cos plans for x'mas keep filling my mind when I shouldn't be so focused on all that now...
I love December.
December is a month which brings back so many memories, year after year, more and more special memories glittering my life.
All kinds of memories.
December.
Every december is so distinctly different.
Always has something special in it amidst the caroling, parties, church activities, and hall stuff.
Somehow, something special will happen..
And I wonder what's in store for me this december.
I hope december will be my best month this year. The past eleven months has been sucky, with too many upheavals, too many inconsistencies.

Argh... study study study study.... study...

Argh.... hate exams.
Someone please tell me how to study for EC3101. My greatest fear. Need at least a B+ to do honours. Sigh hate econs. econs. econs.

Don't feel like blogging much nowadays and i guess i won't feel like blogging until after exams. Unless suddenly I need an outlet to vent my frustrations and i have too many overwhelming thoughts and ideas.

It kinda sucks when i still have to think about drawing up a sponsorship proposal for Rockfest now.. at this time... when all i wanna do is be more productive in my revision.

Last night, had wonderful block comm treat!! from JF! We went china jump which is at Chjimes. I like chjimes... nice place for nice photo shoots. Dinner was really filling... I had duck and ostrich fajitas (fa-hee-tas), rather interesting. The rest ate really really meaty meaty meat... was great. Had viking icecream at cafe cartel after that... yummy...! Thanks to JF!

There's nothing more interesting than Budak Pantai concert to look forward to nowadays... I'm quite sure it'll be a good concert this saturday.. love acappella.

Ok gotta hit the books again... hmmm....

Getting prepared for exams... need to be on full steam soon.

So glad i started preparing for my exams today... it's like... 17 days more. Sigh~
so much to rush.... catch up on....
Someone... please tell me how to study EC3101 and EC3303?! yucky modules of the sem!
Gotta force myself to work so much harder from now onwards.... no time to waste already. No use feeling worried too... so I'm not worried at all... just feeling a little relaxed, but a little tensed sometimes and taking my time to study and absorb all that... at least am ensuring that almost every minute spent is doing productive work.

Still in the search of the most conducive place to study. Libraries suck... too quiet, gets stuffy after a while... the air in libraries is stale and smells of sleepiness. Comm hall has lost its appeal to me... Think studying in my room is better... as long I'm not online, not watching tv, not dozing off. Someone.... recommend me more conducive places please!

Currently reading The Gate to Women's Country by Sheris Tepper. Feminist speculative fiction.
Doubt I'll ever finish Ilium and Dune. And i think evi and leonard must have finished reading every text... whoa. Seriously, I'd rather spend my time studying lit than any other things. It's so much more engaging and it never seems to lose its appeal on me.. Too bad it's not my core modules. I'd rather be reading up on lit than reading up on econs. But sensibly, by right, I should be spending more time on my econs textbooks instead... knowing how much I'm lagging.. Just that I can't help feeling more interested in picking up my lit books than my econs texts. Hmm..

Ok, will be reading later and doing my cmb budget. hopefully i can settle the budget with eunice and josephine tonight... no more dragging... urgh... which reminds me i need to a publicity proposal for rockfest for cfa. aawwwhhh.... i love cmb, but i'm more concerned my exams now.

Public Blogging/Diary/Journal

Wonder why online journals are considered journals or diaries when there is a connotation of privacy and confidentiality.... recording private thoughts of one's life, yet displaying them to the whole world without feeling intruded.

Seems like the title of my post is a juxtaposition, or maybe paradox. Privacy and publicising it... exist together and at the same time. Contrast placed side by side. Weird. But it's like that i guess... So a journal, being considered as something private, personal, is not so private after all. Then what is it?

Blogging is a way to keep oneself updated about friends' lives and also record one's most thoughts, inspirations, aspirations, and serves as an outlet to vent your most frustrating moments. Blogging can be therapeutic to a certain extent.

But what's the point in blogging, or keeping a journal, if you know the whole point is to be able to record the most private thoughts and ideas, yet knowing at the same time... they're gonna be displayed to the public?! Kinda miss the whole idea of keeping a journal right...?! But anyway if it's a journal... why care about what people has to say or how much they'll know about you... cos' it's your journal anyway... you have all the freedom and right in the world to blog your innermost feelings, and most importantly, you gotta be truthful to yourself in your journal.. just cos' you know the public may read your blog so you may deliberately jot down the un-truth just to make your public journal look nicer on you. Then you miss the whole essence of writing diaries, journals, blogs.

Your blog shows your individuality and your sense of identity.

Whatever.
